Teabag folding

While googling 'tea' for ideas for Illustration Friday I found links for teabag folding, which I'd never heard of. Small squares of decorative paper are folded and then used to construct various medallion-type designs. I love origami, so this was something I wanted to try...and this was what I ended up with. The original 'teabag paper' square design is below the folded piece.

This is so pretty. I've been wanting to learn how to do this and have lots of pretty paper ready to go. Now I just need to find good instructions.

There must be a zillion different ways to fold the papers. I'm hoping to try a few more when I've got some time.
