Daily Sketch Challenge: Reese Witherspoon

Quick entry for the Daily Sketch Challenge Group on deviantART. (The challenge was to sketch Ms. Witherspoon's face from provided photo reference.) I nearly didn't do this but managed to find a few minutes to enter--I am finding it far too easy to do everything else but draw these days! Must change that.

It's great the way the preliminary strokes are still visible through the final strokes. Another WOW!!!!!! drawing. Got to get yourself out there miss Chris, don't hide your talent plus the possibilities for portrait work will keep you from really working! Just do it.

Mel!! So great to have you drop by; your comments are always day-brighteners! :) Thank you!

Doug--thanks a bunch for that; I don't know if it's a WOW drawing, but I was pleased that I did what I did in a few minutes, scanned it, posted it, didn't overthink it...

I need to do more like that instead of spending so much time THINKING about drawing something...

Chrissie, your talent to draw is amazing! Reese looks good as she ever has.
Thinking is a good thing, it's part of the mix.
(Thoughtfulness is big part of what I see in your art.)

nice facility of hand and flow to your linework. Gotta say the Rees Wither portrait looks more like Britany Murphy to me, esp around the lips. Maybe just me having a thing for Murphy. Glad I found your place here (a link from dr. sketchy detroit/hamtramck.

Hey Anonymous/LtD--I'm happy you found your way here too, and thanks for the comment! And yes, I can see the Brittany Murphy similarity there--now that you mention it.

And, thanks a bunch, Bill, for stopping by and leaving lovely words of support. It is always appreciated!
