Student for Education Directory Cover

















I'm sort of breaking my rule to post only personal art here, and not something done for a client. But I'm fairly sure they're going to choose the cover layout with photos and not the layout with this illustration, so...I guess that's my excuse.

Done in Photoshop, using a stock photo for reference.

I still haven't been able to get the hang of drawing strait into photo shop, still have to do the line work traditionally.

Nice looking illustration, very clean.

Thanks, Josh! I use a Wacom tablet along with a Photoshop brush that closely mimics a pencil; it's fairly similar to drawing traditionally, although it takes some getting used to.

I use a tablet as well, it's just not as natural to me. Mine's not Wiacom though, haven't had the extra 350 to throw down on that.

the drawing is great!!
it looks perfect too bad they wont use it... (their loss)
i use a tablet a lot (but still it aint the same, to me at least) however, i preffer the results when i draw straight in corel painter than in photoshop ...
